Cell Phones
The ubiquitous cell phone is a must for your trip. If you are bringing your cell from home, contact your cell provider and arrange “international roaming.” Be VERY careful about using data outside of Wi-Fi areas — it could cost thousands of dollars! If you are planning a long trip or go to Europe frequently, you may want to buy an inexpensive phone there that has prepaid minutes. If you have an unlocked phone, you can easily buy and install a local SIM card.
