Traveler Resources

Just in Case

What if your trip is interrupted or delayed by unforeseen events? What if your baggage is lost in transit? Will you lose the money you’ve already invested?

You may even need medical assistance far from home or have to cancel your trip. What if you have to be medically evacuated? Could you afford the high costs to get you back home? Would you be able to make the arrangements? To enjoy your travel to the fullest, make sure you are prepared for the unexpected.

Travel Insurance

We recommend Travelex for security and peace of mind so you don’t have to worry about the unexpected and can focus on enjoying your trip. Travelex plans are underwritten by Old Republic Insurance Company and are available to U.S. residents or those who are presently in the United States. Cell Phones

The ubiquitous cell phone is a must for your trip. If you are bringing your cell from home, contact your cell provider and arrange “international roaming.”  Be VERY careful about using data out side of WiFi areas — it could cost thousands of dollars!  If you are planning a long trip or go to Europe frequently, you may want to buy an inexpensive phone there that has prepaid minutes.  If you have an unlocked phone, you can easily buy and install a local SIM card.
